A Gallery of Prints and the Inspirations Behind Them
Sundial
Sundial
It doesn't get much better than being able to watch both sunrise and sunset over water in the same state. With over 11,000 inland lakes that would be Michigan! You know, the Great Lakes State?
This tree serves as a "sundial" on the shore of Indian Lake, the 4th largest inland lake in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
Water and nature are my inspiration. The obligation to protect our waters and wilderness and promote its responsible, recreational possibilities is something I feel deeply about. I seek out the common beauty of rural landscapes and the lakes, rivers, wetlands and waterfalls found in my travels to transform into prints. The four seasons create an always changing landscape of imagery just waiting to be captured in the beautiful and complex Japanese art form of moku hanga.
I was born in Owosso, Michigan and now live with my family in Ovid, near Lansing, on our 100 year old family farm. My husband and I love camping, hiking and kayaking and traveling back roads.
